Quercus alba
Description
White Oak is a stately oak valued for its broad rounded canopy, with wide-spreading branching, and is arguably the most important species of the white oak group. Foliage is dark green with deep round lobes and turns a burgundy red in the fall. This long-lived oak supports keystone species across many ecosystems.
“A majestic and worthwhile tree for large areas… among the handsomest of oaks.” – Dr. Michael
