Description
Chinkapin Oak is an attractive, strikingly unique oak species with lustrous dark green chestnut-like leaves and uniform pyramidal habit. It is tolerant of a range of soil moistures and is also tolerant of alkaline soils. Winter silhouette is attractive due to light gray bark and upright branching.
